Mike Deming calls the meeting to order.
 Certificates of Appropriateness.
 1) 17 Elizabeth Street – Bruce Natale – Re-point foundation, Replace 2 basement windows
Bruce Natale – Would like to re-point foundation. Existing mortar is crumbling and failing. Replace window with American Craftsman 5900 basement window. The other windows have been replaced (pictures of windows in application). Wants to use rectangle-shaped glass block to enclose other opening, currently boarded (shows example to block to board). Would like to seal opening, but still have light come in. Neighbor and he have agreed to plant shrubs to help screen that area of the foundation.
Stephen Selvek –No issue with re-pointing the foundation, the replacement window will match the other basement windows. Glass blocks: not generally an appropriate material. The only other option is to relocate the vents and drain line through the foundation or brick exterior. Then replace with a window. This doesn’t seem to be feasible. Staff feels that the use of glass block for this specific case is okay.
Jim Hutchinson – makes a motion to approve as submitted.  Seconded by Paul McDonald. All members vote approval. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn made by Judith Bryant, seconded by Paul McDonald. All members vote approval.
 Meeting adjourned.
